Objectives

This course provides clear introduction to phylogenetic methods in the study of angiosperm families especially those found in the tropics. It also introduces the concept of phytogeography and the use of remote sensed information in vegetation mapping.

Contents

Embryo development including endosperm; polyembryony; apomixes; seed; vegetation mapping techniques including remote sensing; plant diversity and diversity indices; survey of Angiosperm plant families.
