Basics in modelling; formal basis for models: mathematical; stochastic; computing models; constructing computer models; Types of computing models: performance, biological, agent-model, organisational, social models; modelling tools; Data analysis; filters; Useful characteristics to model; Benchmark tests/testing; Simulation tools/languages/environments; Simulation of experiments; Generation of random variables; estimation of parameters; experimental plan; optimisation.
