To understand the modern theory of differential and integral operators of functions and spaces.

Finite and infinite dimensional vector spaces and linear transformations of such spaces, Fourier integrals, exact and approximate methods of solving operator equations- methods of steepest descent, WKB method , perturbation theory Differential equations – gamma, elliptical and special functions like Hermite, Bessel, Legendre etc. Analytic continuation, Riemann-Hilbert problems Green’s function techniques.
