Objectives

To provide detail understanding of microorganisms in the oil industry.

Contents

Microbial activities beneficially oriented to the oil industry, i.e., oil prospecting; the use of microorganisms in oil pollution clean-up and waste disposal; microbial activities detrimental to the oil industry; corrosion of metals, petroleum reservoir plugging, decomposition of drilling fluid additives contamination and deterioration of petroleum products.
