Objectives

To enhance, generalise and deepen the students’ knowledge of some chosen advanced topics in functional analysis with the view to preparing the students for research in functional analysis.

Contents

The content, which may vary from batch to batch, depending on the interests and needs of the batch concerned, may treat such topics as Compact Operators on Banach Spaces; Bounded Operators on Hilbert Spaces; Spectral Analysis of Self-Adjoint Operators and Topological Vector Spaces.
