MAT602 : Seminars and Communication Skills 6 credits (40-20-0)

Objectives

To introduce students to basic communication techniques and presentation of research work in seminars; some mathematical computational soft wares and their applications; appropriate soft wares for preparing seminar presentations (power-point presentation).

Contents

This course will be organized in a purely seminar format, involving the teaching staff and the students; students will receive a priori lectures and will then be given long assignments to carry out using the available computational and soft ware facilities of the Department and make presentations to an audience.
