Objectives

To provide Chemistry students and other Science Majors who need more mathematics background than is provided by MAT 207 and MAT 208.

Contents

Further study of ordinary differential equations; Second order homogeneous and non-homogeneous equations with constant coefficients; Power series solutions; Applications; Algebra of 3-dimension vectors; Lines and planes in space; Partial differentiation; Applications to extrema in two or three dimensions; Lagrange multipliers; Partial integration; Multiple integrals; Applications to areas and volumes; Line integrals: Green's and Stokes' theorems, Vector analysis.
