Objectives

To provide students with the relevant knowledge in the conduct of international and national EIA standards.

Contents

Planning and design of impact studies, team building, acquisition of logistics and team management for impact studies; Reporting and financial management; Review of national and World Bank requirements for environmental impact assessment; methodologies for evaluating environmental impacts on the physical, biological, socio-economic, and cultural/historical. Procedures for public participation, audits and approval of EIA reports by MINIPDEP, Evaluation of environmental impact statements. Setting up small teams to carry out EIA practical on the field. Life Cycle Analysis, Environmental Management Systems and Risk Assessment.
