Objectives

To examine the global and national environmental laws with respect to pollution, the environment and the use of natural resources.

Contents

The principles and background of Environmental Law; The powers and function of regulatory authorities in relation to economic exploitation of land and other resources; Fundamental concepts, principles and problems of environmental pollution, environmental consumerism; Natural resources conservation: legislation and sustainable use of natural resources; land use policy of environmental economics; Environmental considerations which form an integral and essential part of sustainable national, international and economic development; Policies in locating and managing industries in urban areas; transport policies; economic instruments for environmental protection and auditing; and environmental incentives and other factors for locating partners for foreign trade as envisaged in third world countries and Cameroon in particular.
