CSC782: Seminar Presentation 6 credits (0-0-60)

Objectives

To enable students develop skills in presenting information, improve their social networking, keep abreast of recent happenings in and beyond Computer Science and so help identify a research area or topic.

Contents

There are no formal lectures for this course but the student is expected to participate in seminar presentations by invited scholars and professionals as well their lecturers and peers. They may eventually make their own presentations of: personal findings, individual or group projects, circumscribed research domain or problem, recent developments obtained from, say, conferences and workshops or independent study. Appropriate literature survey, field work, specific guidance, etc. are done as needed by the student. Participation in activities counting towards this course starts at least a semester before the one he/she is evaluated in.
