Objectives
To explore the applications of the concepts of fluid flow, mass and heat transfer in terms of unit operations and possible sizing of equipment; basic aspects of anatomy of chemical manufacturing processes.
Contents
Heat transfer equipment: analysis of heat exchangers; mass transfer equipment; distillation; the fractionating column; Particle mechanics and Packed columns; Liquid gas systems and Liquid-Liquid systems; Separation processes: filtration; drying; leaching.
