Objectives

To test the student’s ability to review the literature on a given topic, identify problem areas, propose strategies to address the problem and design experiments that can be used to solve the problem.

Contents

The student will write a research proposal on a subject separate from his/her doctoral thesis research, and defend it orally before a jury. A hard copy of this presentation will be deposited in the library of the department.
