To discuss the major reaction mechanisms encountered in organic chemistry, and the role in organic synthesis and biosynthesis of organic molecules.

Contents

Advanced treatment of substitution, addition, elimination and rearrangement reactions, with reference to case studies in organic synthesis of complex natural products, and in the biosynthesis of important endogenous compounds.
