Objectives

To equip students advanced techniques in handling economic plants particularly in the face of genetically modified products (GM).

Contents

Advanced treatment of the morphology and taxonomy of plants utilised by man: foods, drinks, flavourings or spices, oils, medicinal plants, fibre crops, dyes, resins, etc. Labs to include: morphology, identification and herbarium collections.
