To acquaint students with plant geography and causes of contemporary vegetation zoning.

Contents

Theories of plant geography, climax formations and the causes of contemporary vegetation; includes floristics, environmental relations, system structure and function, indicator plants and problems in land utilisation. Emphasis on African flora.
