To acquaint the students with the basic techniques of plant cell and tissue culture as well as the various applications of micropropagation techniques.

Contents

Techniques of maintaining plant fragments and cells alive; application of these techniques in the production of germplasm and resistant plant varieties; General notions of transgenic plants and plant biotechnology.
