Objectives

To understand the nature of parasitism and study the life histories, pathology and management of parasitic protozoa and helminths.

Contents

Animal associations; nature of parasitism; host-parasite relationships; host specificity; evolution of parasitism; habitats and environment of parasites; morphology; life history; pathogenicity; pathology; diagnosis; treatment; epidemiology and control of parasitic protozoa and helminths. Emphasis will be on those parasites affecting man and his domestic livestock.
