To equip learners with knowledge and skills required to analyse catchment states and address crises appropriately; to equip learners with knowledge on the key activities that drive catchment change in Cameroon.

Introduction to catchments and catchment management; Introduction to drainage basins; concepts, morphometric and bathymetry; Ecology of catchment plants; Invasive species; Ecology of phyto- and zooplankton, Fish ecology, Water cycle, precipitation and recharging, Abiotic components and interactions, Climate change and water catchments, General threats to tropical catchments, Landuse patterns and mapping, Rural sociology and catchment degradation, Deforestation and degradation, Agrochemicals, River alteration and integrated catchment management.
