Objectives
To impart knowledge of the theory of transmission lines at high frequencies, and of the theoretical and mathematical foundation of communications in the areas of signal and information theories.
Contents
Signal theory: Deterministic signals (periodical and non periodical), linear time invariant (LTI) systems, description in time and frequency domains, correlations, energy, power, energy density, power density, ideal systems, sampling and discretization of stochastic signals, stationarity and ergodicity, transmission of stochastic signals by LTI systems, noises.
