To outline the chemical and physical principles applied to the extraction of metallic materials and describe the basic operations used for transforming metallic materials into different shaped products.
Contents
Raw materials, pre-treatment of ores for extraction, wet extraction of metals. Pyrometallurgy, electrochemical extraction and refining of metals; Forming of metallic materials: casting, forging, rolling; the extraction of copper, aluminum and the production of steels starting from iron ore.
