Objectives
To study laboratory techniques in clinical biochemistry and analytical chemistry as well as application in the diagnosis of disease.
Contents
Basic techniques in absorptiometric analysis; preparation of standard solutions of acids, bases and salts as well as preservatives and anticoagulants in use;. The study of blood collection methods, separation of serum and plasma; basic quality control in clinical chemistry as well as analytical system and application in clinical chemistry; Kidney and tests for renal function; gastro-intestinal tract, liver and biliary system tests to investigate disease; function and measurement of electrolytes; tests on cerebrospinal fluid; blood and urine sugar and ketones.
