Objectives
To provide knowledge on mechanisms and theories of immunity and the application of immunological methods in diagnosis of diseases.
Contents
Basic concepts of immunology; the structure of antigens and antigenic determinants; antibody structure and synthesis as well as the immune response at the cellular and molecular level; immunity (humoral and cellular); cells and tissues of the immune system and the complement cascade system; hypersensitivity; histocompatability; transplantation antigens and serological reaction prophylactic and therapeutic applications of immunology.
