Dynamics of infectious disease transmission: mode of transmission, subclinical and clinical disease, carrier status, Endemic, Epidemic and Pandemic, Disease outbreak, determinants of disease outbreak, herd immunity, incubation period, outbreak investigation
Measuring the Occurrence of Disease: measures of morbidity (incidence, prevalence, problems with incidence and Prevalence Measurements), surveillance, and quality of Life. Mortality: measures of mortality, mortality rate, years of potential Life Lost, direct age adjustment, indirect age adjustment, the cohort effect.
Natural history of infectious disease ways of expressing Prognosis: Case-fatality rate, person-years, observed survival, calculating of life-table, use of Life table, Median Survival Time, Relative Survival rate.
