Objectives

To enhance, generalise and deepen the students’ knowledge of some chosen advanced topics in general and/or algebraic topology with the view to preparing the students for research in topology.

Contents

To treat such topics as The Tychonoff Theorem, Metrization Theory and Paracompactness, and the Fundamental Group and Covering Spaces.
