Objectives
The course aims at examining the origin, nature and occurrence of groundwater, its exploration techniques, chemical characteristics, and methods of extraction.
Contents
Field hydrogeology; instrumentation and equipment, desk study and field working practice. Exploration techniques; photogeology and remote sensing, geophyiscal prospection, well drilling techniques. Physical and chemical parameters of groundwater and implications. Hydrogeochemical studies – field work. Monitoring contaminants in groundwater.
