To investigate the chemical principles that are emphasized and applied in petroleum refining.

Contents

The chemistry of petroleum refining; the structure of the petroleum industry; petroleum production and the properties of refined products and the interaction of a range of factors such as chemical, economic, environment and safety; Treatment of crude oil by physical and chemical processes (e.g. catalytic reforming, cracking, hydrotreatment etc.)
